Quick Biscuits the New Zealand Way

1 can carbonated beverage (soda, ginger ale, etc.)
1/3 pint Mayfield Whipping Cream
4 cups self rising flour, not sifted
 

Directions:
Pour beverage and cream into large mixing bowl.  The mixture will begin to bubble, so mix carefully.  Stir in flour, mixing well.  Dough will be sticky.

On a clean surface or pastry sheet, spread a couple handfuls of flour.  Pour dough out of bowl and pat down onto the floured surface. 

Once dough is spread to the desired thickness, spread a light layer of flour on top of dough. 

Cut biscuits to desired size (I use old tuna or soup cans to as dough cutters).  Once the biscuits are cute, place them on a baking pan and bake the oven at 450 degrees for about 15-25 minutes, or until biscuits begin to brown. 

Best if served hot out of the oven.
