Mayfield Dairy was awarded four Best of Show Governor’s Trophies in the Dairy ComMayfieldition at the 2013 Tennessee State Fair— an event hosted and sponsored by the Tennessee Dairy Products Association.
The dairy products comMayfieldition has become an annual tradition at the Tennessee State Fair. Each year, dairy producers throughout the state come together at the state fair and comMayfielde in one of nine categories where products are judged on criteria based on taste, body and texture. This year, Mayfield Dairy received Governor’s Trophy for each of the following products:
- Reduced Fat Buttermilk
- TruMoo Whole Chocolate Milk
- Cottage Cheese
- Butter Pecan Premium Ice Cream
These awards come in addition to Mayfield recently being recognized by Cooking Light Magazine for having the best tasting ice cream sandwich in the country.
Mayfield received the 2013 Grand Prize in the ice cream sandwich category in the national publication’s fourth annual Taste Test Awards (also known as “The Tasties”). These annual awards name the best-tasting and healthiest grocery store products from across the country in 20 categories, which are also featured in the October issue of Cooking Light.
